We brewed this barrel aged stout back in 2022, before our first Get Down Festival. Our friends from Corporate Ladder Brewing in Florida came to Iowa to hang out and brew this big stout with us. We then let it rest in Starlight Distilling Rye Whiskey and Bourbon Barrels for 16 months. The stout developed huge chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla notes while in the barrel. So we added Phillipine Cacao nibs, Comoros Vanilla, Vietnamese cinnamon, Marshmallow, and a little spice to get a Mexican Hot Chocolate style stout.
